ACCOMODATIONS & PROPERTY INVENTORY

Casa Sand Dollar has a unique floorplan designed for comfort and entertaining, and sleeps up to 6 on a king size bed and two sofa sleepers.  It features a large "Island Room" (or family room) where guests can comfortably gather with seating up to five or more in armchairs & large sofa, plus a nice entertainment system including a 65" TV paired with a sound system and Sony blue ray player.  A guest bathroom & shower make up the Island Room which adjoins the smaller living room that is furnished with two swivel armchairs & sofa, coffee table and a TV for an additional seating and entertaining.  Both have views to the patio deck and outside over the bay's wetlands, ship traffic and occassional SpaceX rocket launches.  The kitchen & dining area make up the remainder of the common areas with the dining table seating four people.  The washer and dryer are accessible via the hallway to the master bedroom.  

The master bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and plenty of closet space including multiple drawers and hanging rods.  Additionally, there is a TV and sound bar, and ceiling fan in the room as well.  The master bathroom has a bathtub & shower, lavatory and toilet.   

What's uniquely nice about this property is that there is NOT any development across the bay's wetlands from the southern-facing patio deck, which is naturally shaded from the afternoon sun and has the cooling, prevailing southeast breeze off the Gulf keeping you comfortable. The 180-degree views of the surrounds include birds & wildlife of the Laguna Madre Bay wetlands and sun & moonrises which are spectacular!  Too, you'll be able to observe ocean-going ships passing through the Brazos Santiago Pass & Brownsville Ship Channel, and have the best, unobstructed view of SpaceX rocket launches!  There is outdoor seating for four people with room for more seating on the deck and a table.  The propane gas BBQ pit can be stationed on the wood patio deck for outdoor grilling (an additional charcoal BBQ pit must be stationed over concrete driveway to avoid hot coals inadvertently falling on the wood deck).  

The water's edge is made up of our 40 ft. dock, which is down some steps from the patio deck.  It is equipped with "green" fishing light, lighted fish cleaning table and storage room underneath the deck for various items like fishing equipment, kayak & life preservers and additional chairs you are welcome to use.  Docking your personal watercraft on the dock requires additional agreement with us for a fee.  

Casa Sand Dollar is designed to be a "sufficient, self-contained" home with most everything one would need to live comfortably for weeks or months on end with the room to entertain guests comfortably.  And speaking of guests, if there are more people in your party needing to clean up after a day of outside activities, there is a resort maintained bathhouse with showers & bathroom facilities across the street available to registered guests.  Please note that this property is not handicap accessible and requires ascending steps to gain entrance.

• Other chairs - 4 Adirondack chairs (in dock storage room), 4 beach chairs (in front storage room), 1 folding chair (in front storage room).

• Closets - master bedroom closet/drawers, guest closet off living room.

• BBQ pits - (1) Weber Q propane gas & (1) small charcoal pit 

• Washer & dryer

• Small appliances - toaster, traditional drip & Keurig coffee makers, coffee bean grinder, crockpot, electric skillet, can opener, and blender. 

• Table settings for at least 8 people including dinner & salad plates, bowls, food serving pieces, silverware, cooking utensils, glasses (coffee cups, drinking glasses, 

wine, cocktail & margarita glasses, champagne flutes), cutting boards, plastic storage containers, cookie sheets, pots & pans and casserole dishes. Common

staples and supplies available in the kitchen cabinets (oil, spices, foil paper, plastic wrap, baggies etc).

• TV’s & Electronics:  

  • Family room - 65” smart TV with sound system & cable TV service (Spectrum) and Roku remote control, 

  • Sony Blue Ray Player

  • Living room - 32” smart TV with Roku

  • Master bedroom - 28” TV and sound-bar with Roku.

  • Wireless Printer (located in living room credenza)

Storage rooms & equipment

• Storage room at driveway (BBQ pits, charcoal, beach chairs, tools, cleaners, life preservers, etc.) 

• Dock storage room (Adirondack chairs, ice chest, guest basic fishing equipment, kayak).

NOTE:  Owner's personal fishing equipment is not available for guest use.
